Remote Access Policy
To perform Problem Diagnostic GuruAid representative will require access to your computer.
Permission To Access – By entering the 6 digit code provided by the GuruAid representative (in the Logmein or GuruAid Connect access panel) you are explicitly allowing the GuruAid representative to access and control your computer.
Customer Controls Remote Session Completely – Please note that as the user you will always have total control on remote session and you can disconnect the session anytime by
- Clicking on the (X) button on the top right hand side of the window (If you are connected using Logmein Software).
- Locating the GuruAid Connect application in the system tray, right clicking on it and selecting ‘exit’ (If you are connected using GuruAid Connect Software)
No Access Post Session – When the session is terminated, all connections to and from your computer through the Remote Support Software are terminated and the Remote Support software is removed from your system.
Recording Permission – Please note that the remote access session is recorded for training, quality assurance and user safety purposes.
User Safety Policy
To ensure complete user safety GuruAid representative adhere to the following User Safety policies.
Close Personal Information – Before providing access you are requested to first close all personal and confidential files and folders (GuruAid reps will not access any files or folders without your permission).
No Third Party Software Downloads – For your Safety, GuruAid representatives are not authorized to download or use any third party software from the Internet on your computer.
No Third Party Payment Collection – GuruAid does not collect payments through Paypal, Western Union or any third party payments service providers.
No Third Party Software Sales – GuruAid does not sell any software from any third party websites.
No Outbound Sales Calls – GuruAid does not make unsolicited calls to consumers for technical support requests.
Presence Recommended – GuruAid recommends user to be present in front of their PCs at all times during the remote session.
Non Critical Errors – For your information Temp Files, Registry Errors, Low Memory, CPU Usage levels and Windows Update Warnings are not necessarily critical errors.

GuruAid uses Logmein Rescue & GuruAid Connect software for remote access.
No. Only when you enter the 6-digit code and check Allow Access can a connection be made with GuruAid agents. Hence there is no way for us to initiate connection with your computer without your knowledge and active participation.
No. This code is dynamically generated for every new remote session. In the event that you want to reconnect with our agents, you will have to call us and get a new 6 digit code to initiate another connection.
Once the remote connection is made it is as-if the agent is at your desktop navigating your computer. Hence we advice you to close all personal files and folders and if you are not sure keep a watch on agent activity.
No problem. Simply tell the agent to terminate the session or
- Close the remote connection window that is opened and the connection will be disconnected (Applicable for Logmein)
- Locate the GuruAid Connect application in the system tray, right click on it and select ‘exit’ to disconnect the session (Applicable for GuruAid Connect)
No. The only way the software will run is if you choose to run the exe downloaded. Logmein and Lester both are reputed companies headquartered in US.
